Thursday, 8 September 2005Online Catholics puzzleThe Church Mouse is not quite sure what to make of the following item from the Holy Mousepad [sic] column of yesterday's Online Catholics.
This is the first issue of Online Catholics edited by Chris McGillion, whose apologetic maiden editorial is laden with trepidation at the thought of filling the shoes of his extremely capable predecessor, Kate Mannix.

How sad and unfortunate it is when people like you...who are supposed to epitomise TRUTH can condescend to this type of diatribe.
Do you truthfully understand the situation that exists not just in Redfern but wherever this Sect like movement has snuck in?
Do you know their Modus Operandi, have a good look at the Division and Disharmony over in Western Australia....try reading the 'Mouse Pad' and after that the Church Mouse.
Along with the Catholic Church we are expected to believe in the INTEGRITY of both this Institution and the Press. By all means report what you like...but for God's ( literally) sake...get it right. It would seem that your pre-decessor Kate Mannix embodied what true journalism was all about...but I guess she was too much on the feet of the Church hierarchy and asking too many explosive questions.
Please do try and emulate her. Who else has the little person got, if people like you choose not to print the TRUTH.Be Unbiased and report it as it really is.
I am sure you would agree that this is a reasonable ask?
