Thank you Ted for years of inspiration and faithfulness as you stayed with, lived with and shared the pain of the Aboriginal people striving for their identity.

You have stood up and you were counted; persecuted for the sake of justice.

You remain a living image of Christ in Redfern.

As true priest you have broken the body and shared the blood; as true priest you have been prophetic;

as true priest you have been the wounded healer.

Many have stood for aboriginal people from a distance but you have stood tall with them; you have been humiliated with them; you have shared their soul.

Our respect and our gratitude are very true and very deep.

Please pray for Cana. Pray that we be faithful to the soul of the streets.

With the love and prayers of Cana Communities.
